Bluebay Beach Resort and Spa

We stayed at Bluebay Beach Resort and Spa for 4 nights after safari - a much needed chill oout after the "African road massage" for a week.

The hotel was really quiet the 3rd week of May - not a complaint just unusual but the high season was just around the corner.

The spa was great & affordable (as opposed to some friends who stayed at the Residence & were frightened away).

The meals, buffet or otherwise, were very good & served poolside in the warm evening. Entertainment was good & drinks at the bar dear, but not stupid.

We had a "superior" room, which I think means sea view. Very comfortable, quite large with good aircon. No bugs about which is always a worry in these climes.

Generally a good stay - just needed the receptionist to smile & everyone would be happy.

Even the gardeners were really friendly - shining up a palm tree to get a coconut & serving to us by the pool (not a great taste if you haven't tried, but the thought was there!).

We appreciated every bit of it, from the airport transfers, friendly and welcoming staff members to the clean swimming pool & beach.

We got booked into a sea facing room which had fantastic beach view at sunrise. The rooms are large and very clean. The house keeping team was up to the tasks. Wambugu and team keep it up. The bathrooms have nice rain shower.

Spa massage was relaxing and the staff was excellent.

Food and dining was fantastic, lot of variety to indulge in. We loved the idea of having theme nights for every dinner and also the opportunity of having dinner at Sultan Sands.

We got an invite to the management cocktail party, and it was good to see the management have good regards to the staff and some nice rewards to the hardworking staff of the season.

Thanks for the efforts to make our honey moon memorable.

We loved the flowers, the wine & so much for the beachside dinner at Sultan Sands organized by David, we really felt special.

When another opportunity arises I will visit Bluebay and Sultan Sands again.
