What an excellent place to stay at Zanzibar!

At Blue Oyster Hotel Zanzibar you get welcomed by the contrast of white sands and green vegetation and colorfoul flowers,

and then the rooms with beach view were so nice, roomy, clean, neat, romantic, and full of fresh cut flowers...

very large balcony with magnificent views all around, lovely bathroom, plenty of windows inside the bedroom.

Restaurant is just a minute away, you can go there barefoot, and sit and realx, enjoying the fantastic views,

especially at sunset, when you can watch the fishermen out at sea, and local people passing by on the beach.

Food was excellent, and freshly caught by local fishermen.

Staff was warm, helpful, always with a smile on. Drinks on the beach so delicious!

You get quite spoilt there I must say, It`s so hard to go back to reality from there! I keep missing my mango smoothie now!

Thanks to Anwar, Domenico, Mce, Mohamed our driver, and all the other hotel staff that made our stay so nice!

We were left with lots of memories and unforgetable images of Zanzibar, not to mention the many unbeliavable photos we took.

The best part of all was having the place just for ourselves for a couple of days, since it was low season!

If you do your homework read about where you're going you can't be dissapointed about the fact that the tide moves out a great bit, as people are complaining about.

This is one thing that makes this place special and it's amazing to see the women working with the sea weed everyday during low tide.

Also there are many opportunities to go on snorkeling tours, or even walk or swim out your self (just be careful as the current can be really strong).

Also the fact that it's so close to the villige and the life of the people in Jambiani makes it an amazing place to visit.

We left this place truly happy that we started our Zanzibar stay in such a great place!

Blue Oyster hotel is a basic, family run hotel, located on a beautiful stretch of beach.Just 50 km away from Stone Town, the capital of Zanzibar, lies the Oyster Hotel close to the village of Jambiani on the east coast.

To reach from Stone Town one can travel by minibus or call and transport shall be arranged from the airport or harbour.

All rooms have ensuite bathrooms, hot showers, mosquito nets and fans. Most rooms do have a terrace or balcony overlooking the Indian Ocean.

The restaurant serves spicy Zanzibarian dishes, and European food, all of very high standard.

There's a bar with a wide range of beers, south African wines and spirits.

Should one want more than sunbathing and relaxing by the sea, then there are plenty of activities available from the Blue Oyster Hotel.

With an "ngalawa", a native fishing boat, you can enjoy the best spots on the reef for fishing and snorkelling.

On any day, the hotel offers freshly caught local fish, a choice of substantial salads, fresh vegetables and a selection of exotic fruits.

The Blue Zanzibar Oyster Hotel Restaurant offers both an international and local cuisine.

Must tries are the baked papaya and the coconut-crusted fish with mango chutney.

They are delicious! Enjoy a sundowner on the rooftop terrace. Later on, candles and music give a special ambience to your dining experience.
