Bartek Institute was established on 1st July 2003 by Baringo Teachers SACCO Society to provide Training in Accounting, Management, Information Technology, Secretarial and Cooperative Courses .

It derives its name from Baringo and Koibatek Districts.The Institute has grown significantly from the initial 20 Pioneer students to the current population of 105 students.

In January 2005 a branch was also established at Kabarnet to cater for students in the wider Baringo District and its environs.

Bartek Institute is a public college offering various courses in different disciplines.It is located at Teachers Plaza, First Floor in Eldama Ravine township

The Bartek Institute has four(4) academic department under which various courses are offered which include: Information Technology, Accounting, Management and Secretarial Studies.

Other departments include the Examination, Finance and Library.

The institute provide a number of information sources through the Institute's State of Art Library Complex and Internet facility.

These provides a wide source of information and enables them access the most development in different areas of study.
