The Baobab - Baobab Beach Resort & Spa

You are Here: › The Baobab Beach Resort & Spa

The Baobab Beach Resort and Spa in Ukunda Mombasa Kenya is a very good choice if you are visiting Kenya. I have now stayed in 3 hotels along the coast and this was my favourite, with good food (for east Africa) and excellent service. The beach is amazing.

Luckily the pools are fantastic, with perfect views of the sea, plus you have baboons and monkies in the grounds. Perfect place to relax after your safari!

Even though it is a large resort it is never crowded we chose to eat at the smaller Maridadi restaurent overlooking the sea and made friends with all the staff and had outstanding service and food ,

The cocktails are amazing and it takes a while to get ones head around the fact everything is paid for because it is so wonderful .

All the food is made at the hotel and even the bread is excellent and there are themes for the menus .

The shows were done with great enthusiasm and flare and there were always things to join in and places to have a quiet moment with classical music too.

The monkeys are full of cheek and very sharp eyed and always arrive at tea time for a photo moment and a bush baby at night sat in the bar .

We took a trip to sand island in a glass bottom boat and they showed us coral and fed the tropical fish on the way it was so lovely to lie in the warm sea and look back at the resort.
The best result is that you come home very relaxed and also heavier than when you went

Try Baobab Beach Resort while on your Mombasa beach vacation. I’m sure you will not regret the perfect holiday facilities at this resort , It is located on the white sandy beach of Diani Kenya 38 km south of Mombasa and underwent a major refurbishment in 2005.

The hotel Mombasa south coast now has 92 standard sea-facing rooms in the Baobab Wing, 68 superior garden view bungalow rooms, 28 superior sea viewing bungalow rooms and a series of Baobab Suites.

All rooms are air conditioned with shower/WC, electronic safe, mini-fridge and balcony or terrace.

The hotel Mombasa offers outstanding cuisine including vegetarian dishes, theme buffets, cocktails and a fortnightly gala night.

In addition to the main Karibu restaurant, there is the new Marhaba seafood restaurant and the Porini for that special bush dining experience.

There is also a tapas bar and a beach Kenya Mombasa bar.

Baobab Resort offers a wide variety of sports and social activities including a swimming pool, three floodlit tennis courts, archery, beach volleyball, a football pitch, table tennis and basketball as well as a dive centre and a range of other water sports.
