After a busy week in Mombasa i decided to take a break before returning to kampala and a friend of mine recommended the Moorings floating restaurant mombasa.

My day was set for the sunset cruise which starts at 5pm to 7pm.. I was a bit scared at fist but the captain (Banu) assured me everything was okay.

It was more than i was expecting and the sunset was just soo cool -the sky was clear and the sunset was breath taking..

its was too short for me i will go back there definitely. Thanks Lillian for the recommendation.

Such a beautiful unique place! love it here, the food is great, the location is stunning, the staff is perfect, and the vibe is just right.

(but like most other places expect to wait a bit for your food, africa time).

Absolutely delicious seafood on this floating heaven.

Service is superb, cool environment, polite staff, professional management.

It deserves the right to be kept as a venue for special occassions but you cannot resist going there frequantly as the food is too good.

Sundowners on their Dhow are a wonderful experience and to be recommended.

The Dhow sails around 5pm and returns at 7pm, just in time for your culinary extravaganza. We found that to be a perfect end to a day. Do try it.
