Zenji Hotel

You are Here: › Zenji Hotel

Initially I had booked a hotel on the other side of the island, but seeing that it was low season,

I was the only guest, which does get quite boring, so I went online, found Zenji Hotel and called for a reservation.

Unfortunately I could only stay for 2 nights as Zenji was fully booked (which I think is exceptional during low season).

The staff was extremely helpful and introduced me to another solo traveler so we could do some exploring together (Swahili cooking class & Prison Island, including snorkeling).

Chris found me another hotel close to Zenji for my last two nights, and even though I was no longer staying with them, they continued to be helpful, arranging a Spice Tour, helping me to get tickets for the ferry to Dar Es Salaam.

It felt like staying with friends & I will definitely go back, if not this year, then surely the next.

Thank you for making me feel at home!
