Vasco da Gama Hotel

I travelled to vasco d agama hotel Mombasa with my family for 2 weeks on a half board basis... With us all having been before (we stayed at the palm/coral last time) we had an idea of what to expect...

The rooms are fairly basic, but do have air con (a must!!). We had a big balcony with had a partial sea/pool view, which the monkeys played on daily.

The restaurant: Always something to eat - even for fussy eaters like myself. The staff were always quick to clear up & always happy to help.

The views out of the restaurant are breath taking.

This is Kenya - its not going to be posh 4* English/European standard... But go with an open mind & you'll love it!!

When I saw the view from my room of The Indian Ocean I was blown away!I

cannot fault the hotel at all.

The staff were attentive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

I felt I was leaving friends behind when I left.

The food was great, varied and plentiful and better than the other hotels on the complex.

The staff sat singles with other singles which was brill and great way to meet people.

The swimming pool was always clean and no children. There was no entertainment, except football on TV which was fine as it was easy to walk to other hotels and bars.
