Sooper Guest House Kisumu

You are Here: › Sooper Guest House

I moved to Sooper Guest House Kisumu Town Kenya after a terrible experience at Joy Guest House at Hippo Point. Sooper Guest House was certainly a breath of fresh air after that!

Rooms were basic but clean with fans and intact nets, and the location was central and close to several nice restaurants.

We really enjoyed the roof top patio, it's a great place to relax with some beers. There are now signs in every room warning you not to leave your valuables,

Theft by the cleaning staff happens in Kenya and I have learned never to leave my valuables in my room, even if they provide locked drawers.

I'd recommend leaving them with the front desk staff, or better yet, keep them with you.

If you're paying 1000-1500 KES per night, I would assume your belongings may not be safe.

That being said, I thought it was great value for money and the staff were much more accommodating than those I encountered at Joy Guest House, who blocked the exit until we paid full price for a room that we did not even use. Sooper Guest House all the way!
