What a wonderful evening! We celebrated my wife's birthday at Rolf's Place restaurant and had a very memorable time.

The ambiance is great—the dining experience starts with a walk across the suspended bridge to the restaurant and ends a table overlooking the unblemished natural vista listening to the soothing sounds of the river flowing in the gorge below.

The menu has a wide range of tempting options and all the food we had was delicious.

An absolutely “must have” item on the menu is the Zanzibari fish and coconut soup.

Our entrées were prepared perfectly, and the service as both courteous and efficient. We had a delightful dining experience and heartily recommend Rolf's Place…it's that good!

I've visited Nairobi many times and can honoustly say that this was the best eating-experience yet! Not only because of the great food but because of the whole scenery.

You have a great view and the house itself is like an African museum! As for the value, I took the pepper sauce steak for 1100 KES, about 10 euros. And it tasted delicious. The plate was decorated as it should in a fine restaurant.

The service was not bad at all. We did not make reservations and still they went out of there way to seat us and to serve us our food in a timely manner.

(you can even go horse back riding, go swim or do paintball)We visited the Kitengela Hot glass studio after that. It was a perfect Sunday-outing.
