The Pheonician Restaurant nairobi is very well situated at the Junction Mall with ample parking.

Sushi is served in the ground floor while the restaurant is situated above with a wide variety of Lebanese and Japanese dishes.

known more commonly for its lebanese food -

it was pleasantly surprising to eat such good japanese food here!

The upstairs restaurant is much more private, cooler, cleaner and stylish than the downstairs 'cafe' atmosphere...

service was prompt and a helpful waiter...there was a good selection of wines - chilled and served well.

tempura was hot and perfectly done...and the sushi boat (combination of sashimi, sushi rolls, gari, wasabi, avocado salad) sailed us into delectable happiness!

the subtle lighting with the coloured glass screens and cushions, created a very pleasant seating arrangement - almost romantic - as long as its not too busy!

There is outdoor seating - on the veranda there are square tables for 4 but very tightly squeezed and rather unpleasant with gas cylinders visible in the corners.

however you do get a good view of all the construction amidst jacaranda trees!

there is no toilet inside the restaurant, so you need to exit and walk round the corner.
