If I had to recommend one restaurant,Nairobi Pango Brasserie restaurant at fairview nairobi hotel would be it. It is certainly pricey, but in this case, you get what you pay for.

The smoked sugarcane duck is the best duck we have ever had (and we had one of Emeril Lagasse's signature duck dishes in his New Orleans restaurant, a chile rubbed duck in New Mexico, etc.).

Do yourself a favor and go with an empty stomach. We shared the apple-date salad with gorgonzola and cayenne bacon, some seared goat cheese, the asparagus/mushroom parcels in a coconut curry sauce, and the duck.

We didn't make it to dessert (or finish what we ordered), but it was all delicious. Service and ambiance were top-flight, so don't come expecting a laid-back dining experience.

The restaurant is situated in the Fairview Hotel. I have had many friends stay at the hotel and have thoroughly enjoyed their stay.
