Oriental Restaurant, Dar es Salaam

I wouldn't normally scream how good hotel restaurants are because they aren't!

But this really was a little piece of Japan dropped into Tanzania! Great soup, fantastic Dim Sum and PERFECT sushi. Happy days!

I certainly recommend this restaurant for its excellent service, large choice of Thai, Japanese and Chinese food. Peaceful and chic atmosphere.

Prices are on the high side.I recommend : red curry duck, shrimp dim sum, thai seafood salad, makis and sushis

Oriental Restaurant, Dar es Salaam is a top class oriental restaurant by any standards anywhere. The menu offers a great range of choices from all the major Asian cuisines and everything we had was thoroughly excellent.

The wine list consists of a well chosen range of South African wines. We chose Landskroon Sauvignon Blanc and it was perfect with our meal.

The staff were well trained and efficient and the management was attentive and interested. The surroundings are upmarket if slightly sterile, but do not let that put you off. Strongly recommended.
