The two days at Njari Lodge and Campsite were a big experience. It is a place where few tourists arrive, situated close to the forest and above the village of Uru. People are very friendly and you feel really welcome.
It was a great experience to visit the families of the stuff of the lodge, walk in the village and in the forest.
The lodge has no electricity. Water is pumped by a foot pump and there is a washbasin in front of the cooking hut.
In the morning I had some difficulty to wash me observed by the kitchen staff.
The next day I discovered a closed room, probably a washing room.
The friendly stuff prepared a bucket of hot water and I succeeded in a better personal hygiene than the day before.
We really liked all aspects of our stay at Njari Lodge and of this project. A bit disappointing was the fact that the forests around the Uru village in the National Park are quite far from primeval state and contain many logged areas
