Mount Elgon Lodge is an old farm house converted into a simple, charming lodge. The main building is a reminder of colonial days passed by. Mt. Elgon Lodge is suitable especially for mountain climbers, bird watchers and for game drives.

Mt. Elgon is over 15 million years old and Kenya’s second highest mountain. The vast areas of untouched forest concealing over 400 elephants whose most famous gathering place is in the bat filled Kitum Cave to which they troop nightly to forage for salt encrusted on the cave walls.

Location:

Mt Elgon Lodge is 500m from the gates of Mt. Elgon National Park, 470 kms from Nairobi. Kitale, the nearest town is 27km away.

Mt. Elgon Lodge has 14 ensuite rooms.
