Mapenzi Bungalow and Vacation Rental in Zanzibar

I wanted a quiet place to stay, feel remote and get some work done while enjoying a tropical paradise.

I could not have chosen better tahn Mapenzi Bungalow .

Hence my 5-star rating.

However, there are some things that others may want to keep in mind before choosing this property:

Mapenzi Bungalows vacation rental in zanzibar is at the quiet end of Paje and a 20 or so walk to the shops (which sell not too much of use) and density of tourist facilities.

You're not missing much and I was very glad to be where I was, but if you like to have you evenings in the area where you have a number of restaurants to choose from etc.

you'll have a bit of a walk and complete darkness after 6.30. Bring a torch!!!

Other Hotels and Beach Vacation Lodges in Zanzibar

Paje beach is about as close to a tropical island paradise as you can get.

Sitting next to the Indian Ocean on the east coast of of Zanzibar it is a perfect place to chill out, laze on the beach, snorkel, fish or enjoy the local cuisine in one of several bars and restaurants close by.

Zanzibar Stone Town is a world heritage city with winding alleys, bazaars, mosques and grand Arab houses and is easily reached by car or local bus.

Other excursions include Jozani National Park, Spice Tours and Dolphin watching.

The accommodation is a charming thatched bungalow in the beautiful garden of a private house.

The owner's local sailing boat can be made available for snorkelling or fishing trips.
