Lenana Mount Hotel

Admittedly, when I learned that I'd been booked into Lenana Mount hotel in Nairobi City for a workshop and I had read some of the other reviews,

I gulped and thought, "Oh no". However, I'm not sure whether the hotel has spent time improving its services since others' visit but I really couldn't find anything to complain about.

Well, I say that based on the price paid (9900 KS full board for three nights).

The staff was very helpful and friendly. They couldn't do enough (ringing for taxis, carrying luggage, helping connect to the WIFI, etc) and they were genuinely interested in my well being whilst there.

Security seemed good which is a must in Nairobi. I couldn't have asked for more.

Putting this into perspective, I think if you're looking for a place to sleep then this hotel will do. If you're booking something special, then you'll be disappointed with this hotel.

It is not offering a luxurious extension to a safari holiday: it’s practical and that's it.

Shop around if you're more accustomed to a plusher lifestyle.
