Lake View Resort Hotel

Lakeview Resort Hotel in Mbarara Town Uganda has spacious rooms. A bit outdated decorated and a dark bathroom.

But some warm water and a mosquito net so okay after al long trip from Kampala to Mbarara.

This is probably the main place to stay in Mbarara. It is more of a local corporate hotel, rather than a place for tourists.

They have conference and banquet facilities, and while I was there they were hosting a local wedding.

It is a large, older building, so it is a little dark and dreary.

The rooms are OK, with decent beds and bathrooms, plus cable TV. On site laundry service and internet service in the business center (for a fee).

On site restaurant with decent food and buffet breakfast. Gated parking area. About 500m off of the main highway.

The small pool is all right for cooling down. We were the only guests in the restaurant but service was poor and food also.

The a la carte menu and winelist suggest another level. Breakfast was okay and Nile Special nice cold.

Good service, plenty of food. Staff tries to pay attention to detail. Milton will carry your luggage with a good smile and ready to answer your questions pleasantly.

Probably the best place to stay at in Mbarara.

I highly recommend this hotel in Mbarara Uganda. I have stayed there twice I found it a safe and comfortable hotel with good service and good food. The grounds are lovely.

The hotel has an older wing which is reasonably price and a new wing which is a really beautiful find in SW Uganda.

I would definitely stay there again when/if I return to Mbarara.
