Kiboko Lodge Arusha

We started our trip in Kiboko Lodge Tanzania. Our intent was to travel from there to other places.

However, when we entered Kiboko Lodge along the beautiful banana-path to the central room and accomodations, we realized that this was a unique spot!

The staff is attentive, friendly, and eager to show off the place and to tell its story. I certainly recommend if highly and only regret that out time there was so brief.

The rooms are simple but clean with a very good bed.

The service is excellent (the ‘boys’ of Kiboko are very friendly and service oriented) and the food is delicious (breakfast with eggs (you can choose any style you want), pancakes, fresh squized juice and fruit; lunch and dinner consists of three courses, as a starter an amazing self made soup, main course with a choice of chicken/beef/vegetarian and cake/fruit as dessert).

Kiboko Lodge is located on the foot of Mt Meru and if it’s clear you can see Mt Meru as well as Mt Kilimanjaro.

The lodge is surrounded with beautiful flowers, plants and a little pool (if you’re lucky you can meet the hippo (Kiboko!)); it’s very peaceful.

You can enjoy the view from different locations (the central room, the fire place, the tea house, your own terrace at your room) and this gives a lot of privacy.
