Itinerary:

Salt Lick Lodge in tsavo national park

Day 1: In the morning you will be picked from your Beach Hotel and depart by road to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary. Have lunch on arrival at Taita Hills Lodge.

After lunch, game drive in the sanctuary until sunset, and chances are good to see lions as well. Dinner and overnight at Salt Lick Lodge. Salt Lick Lodge is especially memorable for its imaginative structure.

A complex of rondavels sits on stilts over a series of water holes. The two-storey towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs, are connected by open-air-bridges, creating an African fantasy of a medieval fortress.

The lodge has been built with game viewing in mind - you can see animals in all directions because it offers spectacular open views.

Day 2: Have an early morning game drive returning to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, continue with the mid-morning game drive in the sanctuary with lunch at Taita Hills Lodge. Depart after lunch to Tsavo West National Park.

The Park offers tremendous views with diverse habitats, ranging from mountains, river forest, plains, lakes and wooded grassland. Its plains borders with Tanzania. Have your afternoon game drive enroute to the Finch Hattons Tented Lodge.

This luxury-tented lodge, named after the aristocrat Denys Finch Hatton who introduced Royalty to the bush and whose style was impeccable.

Mineral water bubbles out of the rock, forming 3 huge Hippo Pools, home to Hippos and Crocodiles. The tents have all of the amenities of a five star hotel with bathrooms en-suite.

Breakfast is served on the Terrace, overlooking the main Hippo Pool against the backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at Finch Hattons Tented Lodge.

Day 3: Full day in Tsavo West National Park with game drives, visits of Mzima Springs and the Rhino Sanctuary. Fullboard at Finch Hattons Tented Lodge.

Day 4:

Have an early morning game drive returning to Finch Hattons for breakfast. Depart after breakfast to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch at the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge.

Set in the heart of Amboseli National Park, the lodge is almost camouflaged in the surrounding bushes as it is built to resemble a Masai manyatta of homestead.

After lunch game drive until sunset in the expansive Amboseli plains, which are home to herds of elephants that feed on the large acacia trees.

Have a Barbecue Dinner set under a canopy of trees on the banks of Enkong Narok swamp with a spectacular view of game. Overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Tsavo West National Park

Day 5: Depart after an early breakfast to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving at the park at mid day in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Lake Nakuru is world famous for its stunning flocks of lesser flamingoes which turns its shores pink. Its birdlife is world renowned.

Lake Nakuru Lodge is situated in the southeast ecological niche of the Lake Nakuru National Park. The lodge blends well with its surrounding and the animals often browse peacefully close to the gardens.

After lunch at the lodge proceed for the afternoon game drive around the lake until sunset. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 6: Have an early morning game drive in search of leopard and rhino returning to Lake Nakuru Lodge for breakfast. Check-out after breakfast and continue to Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving at Mara Serena Safari Lodge at mid day for lunch.

Mara Serena Lodge built like a Masai village has a spectacular view of the wildlife around it, especially the famous annual wildebeest migration.

After lunch go on a game drive in the rolling grassy hills until sunset in search of African wildlife. You will encounter elephants, lion, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, African birds, hippo, crocodile, vultures, African birds of prey, wildebeest, Hyena. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 7: Early morning continue with the game drive with breakfast at Mara Serena Lodge in the Mara plains. The more adventures ones may want to go on a balloon safari. After lunch at the lodge continue with your game drive until sunset. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge.

Day 8: In the morning game drive. Check-out after lunch at Mara Serena Lodge and transfer to the airstrip for flight back to Mombasa. On arrival at Moi airport, you will be met and transferred back to your beach hotel.
