Kensington Mara West

I went with my parents and two friends for a 10 day safari for my birthday and ended the trip in Kensington Mara West. We were so thankful we ended our trip here because nothing else could have matched.

The service was amazing with personable staff that wanted nothing but to make our experience the best.

The food was prepared with vegetables grown on site and a kitchen staff that truly was proud of what they we offering.

Rose brought fresh coffee and cookies to our balcony each morning before sunrise so we could slip onto the balcony and watch the sunrise over the reserve in our bath robes.

Giraffe, Zebras and monkeys roamed the grounds adding to the unbeatable experience like nothing we could ever have expected.

The location offered superb views and I have the amazing sunrise photos to prove it. It is well worth the drive up the very bumpy road to get to this camp.

If camping were always this luxurious and relaxed, I would camp more often. I do not enjoy sleeping in tents, but it was hard to recognize the inside of our tent as anything other than a high quality hotel.

The only trouble I had sleeping was trying to block out the sounds of the wild animals all around. The bed was the most comfortable of all the places we stayed.

Our family agrees that we enjoyed our stay at Mara West the most during our 2 week safari.

The laid back atmosphere allowed us to completely relax and feel at home. We were treated like part of the Mara West family.

I look forward to returning to Kenya and staying at Mara West again.

I want nothing more than to go back to Kenya and stay at Kensington Mara West again.
