Karamba Resort Hotel in Zanzibar

You are Here: › Karamba Resort

Karamba resort, located in the seemingly yet almost unexplored south west of Zanzibar is a fantastic place to unwind, eat delicious food and practise ayurvedic therapies like yoga.
The beach, next to Kimkikazi village, could not be more beautiful as well as picturesque

I have just spent a week in Karamba with 3 friends and we have been delighted to have discovered such a place.

The atmosphere is so relaxing, the staff so helpful, the location so magnificent (top of a 6-meter cliff, all the bungalows with a view to the sea), the food so healthy, the calmness so catchy.

Upon checking-in we asked to have separate beds, and none were available as there was a 20-odd group using all of them.

A selfless and imaginative solution from Gemma, the manager, was to offer single rooms while they were available, so she showed us the flexibility to accommodate our request. In the end we spent the entire week in single rooms, with no extra charge of course. We feel so grateful for it.

The manager was as well very informative on the variety of trips and activities to do while in Zanzibar, and provide us with very valuable insight.

Karamba is a place to be in sync with Mother Nature, as it is all so natural and there is no pollution from modern-life devices such as TV, AC, etc.

The staff delightful, attentive and cordial at all times. Very clean. I loved the outdoor showers.

Beautiful pool. I wish I could convey how warm and welcoming Gemma and Paul were, making me feel like a member of their family. Needless to say, I wished I could have stayed longer and I will definitely come back.
