Jaribu Beach Hotel

JARIBU Beach Hotel is good value for the money. Rooms are very clean and delicate.

Staff is very friendly and the food is good,

if you ask they will show you how to make chapatti and other local food.

The hotel is about 1 hour taxi ride from stone town.

The hotel is located between Jambiani and Paje, about 30 min walk to each place.

This hotel is everything we could have hoped for to experience the Zanzibar coast.

Imagine a tropical paradise that you thought couldn't exist, and this is it!

The hotel is perched just above the beach on the coral rocks, giving an incredible view of the changing sea as the tide goes in and out.

It's certainly the best view we saw on the coast.

In the evening a cool wind blows off the sea. Everything is designed really tastefully and thoughtfully, and the cottages blend into the landscape.

The owners and staff are really friendly and relaxed so from the first minute there you feel more like you are staying at some kind of friend's villa than a hotel.

But not in an intrusive way. Despite it being the high season and the place being full, it never felt at all crowded.

The hotel and beach around are really deserted giving you lots of space to explore at your leisure. Don't miss a walk out on the sandbank at low tide. The colours are unbelievable.

The staff are also able to set you up with some personalised, good value tours in the area or around the island.

The food is delicious with lots of fresh fish (caught on the day!), and good value. For breakfast we had papaya freshly picked from the trees around the grounds.

Summing up: one of the most amazing places we've ever stayed!
