Harbour View Suites Dar es Salaam

You are Here: › Harbour View Suites

Best thing about Harbour View Suites hotel is its location Whatever you need is actually housed in same building on ground floor like super market, exchange, mobile service centre ,reastaurants ,casino ,ice cream parlours ,medical shop etc.

After backpacking through Africa for 3 weeks, staying in $5 a night hostels, taking an extremely jarring and choppy 6 hour bus ride from Kenya to Tanzania, and missing our ferry to Zanzibar, we decided to treat ourselves to a nice evening at The Harbour View Suites.

The rooms in this hotel are quite good and reasonably modern by African standards.

Generally this hotel was good, had a good, but pretty basic breakfast selection, and a nice pub and restaurant serving pretty good selection of meals.

A huge benefit is that the hotel is high up in the building a almost noise free.

The only view I got of the harbor was from the breakfast area on the top floor. Rates are also pretty reasonable for way you get by African standards. I did not notice any hookers on the pub, which again was pleasantly surprising.

Each room had small sitting place and a kitchnette attached with all facilities like fridge,microwave,tea/coffe maker, electric stove, toaster etc.

Staff was very polite, friendly and prompt. especially GM of the hotel Mr Rakesh Shah who went out of his way to help us in any way he can.

The Boddles restaurant on 9 floor serves nice meal may it be Indian or Continental.

Their chef Mr Raju went out of his way to serve us whatever we asked for.

Just outside hotel is taxi stand manned by very decent locals so you don’t have to worry about moving around and looking for taxis.

I will definitely like to come back to this place again an
