Fumba Beach Lodge and Hotel in Zanzibar Island

You are Here: › Fumba Beach Lodge

Fumba Beach Lodge in Zanzibar is a very nice resort, and perfect for relaxing.

We only left the resort once to visit a spice farm - which I would recommend if you like food, plants etc.

I'm sure there is more to do with snorkelling and so on but after a hectic safari before we arrived we were happy to sit by the pool and read books!.

There is a young couple managing the resort and they make sure they come and introduce themselves to the guests, which is very nice.

The sea is not great for swimming in but the pool is very nice and overlooks the sea so it didn't really matter.

Absolute pleasure staying at Fumba Beach Lodge!!

The staff are very friendly, though their English is a bit 'rusty'..

They all come from the village close by so I suppose that is understandable..

Still I respect Fumba for employing these people and giving them a chance to work.

The food was great!

A huge spread in the mornings for breakfast, delightful lunch menu and an ever changing 4 course dinner menu which is not expensive at all!

I cannot complain about the service- we never had to wait very long for someone to attend to us.

The lodge offers to take you on all the tours around the island including the spice tours, the Jozani forests, Stone Town etc.

These are certainly a must when visiting Zanzibar and with the Lodge arranging your transport etc. it just makes it so much easier for you!

Snorkeling is a absolute must!!

This was my first time snorkeling and the instructor is absolutely fabulous!!

He makes you feel very comfortable and goes with you in the water so that you always feel safe! The experience I would not trade for anything!

The picnic on the secluded island is absolutely fabulous! Very good memories :)

I would definitely recommend Fumba to anyone who would just like to switch off and relax. A perfect getaway destination!
