For cheap but luxury safari accommodation in Masai mara national park, visit Fig Tree Camp .

It lies on the banks of the Talek River in the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve with good access to all areas of the reserve for game drives.

Part of the adventure is that guests can choose to stay in either a tent or a cabin.

Total of 75 spacious rooms and tents, all en-suite and private balcony, with views over the national reserve.

There are 38 tents with twin beds; 22 cabins with double and single beds; and five twin-bedded cabins.

The Royal Tents are the latest addition to Fig Tree camp. These comprise 10 executive tent suites developed on a private section of the Talek River.

The luxury tents are complete with four-poster beds, butler service and spectacular views of the Mara Reserve.

Facilities include two bars, a main dining room, an open air dining area, a tree house/coffee deck, a swimming pool, a curio shop, a video room and guest lecture facilities as well as a medical clinic with resident nurse.

A local naturalist gives free lectures and slide presentations on the Maasai Mara eco system. Evening entertainment by local Maasai dancers. Balloon safaris, night game drives and moonlight dinners available at extra cost.
