For the price, Explorers Backpackers in Jinja Town Uganda is a great place to stay. It's in a very peaceful location surrounded by pleasant gardens - outside the heart of Jinja but near enough to walk in if you want to.

The rooms are basic dorm style, but they have good mossie nets, they are clean and comfortable and the showers are hot.

There is 24 hour free wi-fi in the lounge/bar/restaurant area which is a great bonus for travellers - and although the food is very average.

Its convenient and there is free tea and coffee in the mornings. It's a really good place to meet other travellers and it is also the base for many of the activities that Jinja is famous for.

Other Hotels in this Area

Surjio's Guest House | Hairy Lemon | Gately on Nile | 2 Friends Guest House | Hotel Paradise on the Nile | Eden Rock Resorts | Nile Anchor Palace | Timton Hotel | Sunset International Hotel | Brisk Hotel Triangle |

The staff are particularly friendly and helpful and I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys hostelling and travelling on a budget.

I stayed here on numerous weekends during my time in Jinja Town and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a hostel in Jinja

The sister site at Bujagali falls is also great all of the above but with a fantastic view across the Nile and a beach for swimming in the river.
