Duniani Lodge Kendwa Beach and Hotel in Zanzibar

You are Here: › Duniani Lodge Kendwa Beach

Having been to the island several times, we decided to come back to Kendwa beach and chose Duniani Lodge Kendwa Beach. No matter the weather, we had an excellent stay at Duniani for our 3 nights!

As far as our bedroom, it was brilliant for the very affordable rates that we paid, offering such cute touches as flowers on our comfy beds and a great porch and perfect bathroom (without salt water!).

What made Duniani standout even more from other places we've visited was the fantastic food that we ate (especially lunch and dinner were always too yummy!) and the welcoming and friendly nature of their team.

Jessie and Adam (the current managers) were incredible and added with their enthusiasm and genuine kindness the special touch to make this a truly remarkable place!

While Kendwa beach does have its nearby Italian resorts (and the accompanying music for one night), the entertainment at Duniani involves what you want from a beach: great food, fantastic beach beds, a library with books and great games (Scrabble; Trivial Pursuit!!),

free wireless internet (doesn't hurt, does it?), and an amazingly cute movie night on a projection screen for all the local kids and guests of 'Nemo'... Great fish, Great stay!
