Cafesserie Restaurant Mombasa

You are Here: › Cafesserie Restaurant Mombasa.

For all Nairobians, Cafesserie Restaurant Mombasa is practically Art Caffes sister down at the coast. And I am also told it has some connection to Art Caffe- it has to have.

It is way too similar- the décor, the style (high ceilings, old coffee machine, island style station for the barista’s…, the toilets on a raised floor, the pictures the music….even the menu!)

Cafesserie Restaurant Mombasa is located in the new Mall called City Mall where Nakumatt Nyali and a whole load of other shops are.

We happened to stay right next to the mall so frequented for Cafesserie for a late breakfast and lunch.

We were not disappointed one single bit. The service is so efficient you would think you are in Mombasa. The waiters are very switched on and energetic, courteous and polite.

Their bread is to die for!

We had their granita which is iced coffee with vanilla milkshake. Very refreshing.

They have this green home made chili which is so yummy. Am told its a ix og freen chillies, ginger, olive oil etc…

All the food we had was very good in terms of freshness, portions and value for money.

Everything is fairly well priced and service very good as well as pretty quick (lots and lots of staff) it has both outdoor and indoor seating (indoor has air-conditioning, very nice to cool down) FREE wifi is also available. Fantastic!

Very popular as a meeting spot for both locals and tourist. It is now also connected with the new shopping mall next door (opened Jan 2012) -

The shopping mall has a few useful shops; Apple Center, Sony Center, both women's & men's clothe, health shop, chemist, and a few other useful shops all in one area, so very convenient.

I'll also mention that the Nakumat Supermarket is huge. You will be able to pick up everything you need under one roof! But do try and buy gifts from locals around Mombasa rather then the over priced items in Nakumat.

Would definitely go back when next is mombasa.
