Luxury Safari Tents

The safari tents provide an authentic African experience and continue to be the most popular accommodation choice among our guests. They are furnished with 1 Queen bed or 2 doubles or 2 singles and generally sleep one to four people, but can accommodate more upon request.

Dove and Pitta Cottages

These two lovely grass-thatched cottages are perfect for couples or small families. Each contains 1 Queen bed and 1 single and each has its own private patio overlooking the lake.

Kingfisher Cottage

Kingfisher is Bushara’s largest family-size cottage, with 2 bedrooms (one with a Queen bed, the other with two singles), a living room, and private patio. It can comfortably accommodate families or groups of 4-6 (additional beds can be added if more than 4).

Whydah Treehouse

The newest addition to Bushara, Whydah Treehouse is the first wooden cottage on the island. Furnished with 2 double beds and 1 single, this large one-room cottage is “family friendly.” The Treehouse rests on stilts on the side of a steep hill, creating the unique feeling of living in the treetops. Enjoy the one-of-a-kind experience of relaxing on the private patio with a bird’s-eye-view of the lake!

Group Sites

In addition to the Tents and Cottages, Bushara is proud to offer several group campsites for individuals or groups wishing to pitch their own tents, each with plenty of privacy and individual services. These sites are equipped with showers and latrines and offer beautiful surroundings and excellent views.

Location:

Bushara Island camp is located about 7 km from Kabale town on Bushara Island in the middle of Lake Bunyonyi South Western Uganda. Kabale is 450 km from Kampala. You will take a 15 minute motorised boat transfer to the camp, from Kabale town.
