Brian's Guest House

Brian’s Guest House in Njoro was a very pleasant surprise to us.

The setting is in the busy little town of Njoro.

The owners of the guest house are truly lovely people.

They run this orphanage with about twenty children and completely based on private funds as the government barely supports these wonderful initiatives.

When you think of safari and Africa, people tend to think of lodges and very nice hotels where everyone is served like a king. When you pay the bills afterwards, you can pay like a king too...

The rooms are very clean, it's not a five star hotel, don't expect too much but it's really all okay. The toilets and showers were clean and tidy as well.

The food served was really good. The fact that we could eat with the children there was really lovely. Also, my mom is still making the same soup that we ate there :

Overall, you get what you chose for, so don't be dissapointed. We had two good days there, we will certainly remember them for a very long time.

Although this is not a hotel, it’s like a cottage with home stay kind of a setting.

But you have peace of mind there, the owners are very friendly people, their services are great.

There is internet service, and your clothes are washed and ironed nicely.
the owners also run a children's home in the community.
There is a large garden with flowers.

security is good especially with those German Shepard dogs patrolling the compound at night.
